The rug is dhuree style - probably made in India. But the patterns look Central American, Mexican - almost Aztec to me.

A bit of a fusion rug. Has a typically Indian Rajasthani look to the weave and texture. But yes, the diagonal patterns do look inspired from the south / central American continent.
